I went to the Control Panel - Programs - 'Uninstall' & I found software from Canon MF4800 there - I uninstalled it & was able the new drivers immediately. When I went to set up my second Windows 8.1 PC I was able to do the uninstall on that one quickly & it went smoothly. Please tell your Tech Sup people to look there as well.
